PDF in AutoCAD / PDF dans AutoCAD

I have been asked recently by 3 clients to offer my views on creating PDF files from AutoCAD. Ben said that he is missing small pieces of data that are in the DWG that aren't in the PDF. Max asked how he can speed up the process of creating a 20 page PDF from different drawings. Steve asked about different PDF drivers.

In a nutshell, I recommend that to speed up the process and to possibly correct the missing data problem, use the PUBLISH tool in any Autodesk product to create a DWF archive. Open the DWF in Design Review and then print with a PDF driver. Adobe Acrobat is the most common but perhaps not the best and by far not the cheapest. I have been a fan of CutePDF for years. There is also PDF995, AcroPlot, BlueBeam, Primo and many others.

If you have had problems with a PDF, I would like to hear about your setup and compare which one works best.

En gros, je recommande d'utiliser la commande PUBLIER dans les produits d'Autodesk. Commencez par créer une archive DWF et ensuite avec Design Review, imprimez l'archive en PDF avec un pilote PDF. Adove Acrobat est probablement le pilote le plus commun mais pas nécessairement le meilleur et de loin le moins cher. J'ai toujours apprécié CutePDF mais il y a aussi PDF995, AcroPlot, BlueBeam, Primo et autres.

Si vous avez eus des problèmes avec des PDF, j'aimerais en savoir plus sur votre setup et ensuite, je vais comparer les résultats pour tous.

In a new series on free or cheap alternatives to common software, here is a list of programs for PDF creation, manipulation and visualisation:

CutePDF: Great tool to create and manipulate PDF files. Does not support links in the document.
Foxit: Very compact viewer (free) and has a paid-for sibling for PDF manipulation.
PDF-XChange: Great viewer with 64bit support (free). Has several paid-for siblings for PDF manipulation.
PDF995: Has the potential to do everything that Abobe Acrobat can do for much cheaper.

I currently use CutePDF for my work and I want to try PDF995 to see if it answers my needs better.

PDF-XChange: Viewer gratuit ultra-léger (supporte Windows 64bit) et possède une version pour manipuler les fichiers.
PDF995: A le potentiel de fiare tout ce que Acrobat peut faire mais beaucoup moins cher.

Je travail présentement avec CutePDF pour mes fichiers et je vais essayer PDF995 pour voir s'il répond mieux à mes besoins.
